Veteran social activist Anna Hazare staged a silent protest in support of students in Maharashtra’s Ahilyanagar, observing a two-hour fast. Expressing concern over reports of violence and police action, Hazare described the situation as deeply distressing. He also wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, urging attention to the issue and calling for a responsible approach to handling student concerns.
Hazare stated that the resignation of Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan would not lead to the fall of the government but would instead reflect accountability. He emphasized that such a step would demonstrate the government’s commitment to responsibility and transparency. His remarks have added momentum to the ongoing debate surrounding student protests and governance.
