

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu expressed deep sorrow over the death of Patnala Suresh, a Chief Engineer from Visakhapatnam, who reportedly lost his life in a missile attack on an oil tanker near the Oman coast. The Chief Minister conveyed his condolences to the bereaved family and directed officials to extend all possible assistance and support on behalf of the state government during this difficult time.
The Chief Minister instructed authorities to coordinate with the Indian Embassy and Oman officials to facilitate the repatriation of Suresh’s mortal remains to India. Acting on Chandrababu Naidu’s directions, AP Bhavan has taken up special monitoring of the situation and is maintaining continuous contact with the Oman Government, the Government of India, and Indian diplomatic authorities. Reports indicate that the vessel carrying Suresh is currently stationed about 30 nautical miles off the Oman coast, with efforts underway to bring it to port. Following official identification procedures, arrangements will be made to transport the body to India. The Chief Minister assured the family of the government's full support.
