Air India is preparing to launch its flying training academy at Belora Airport in Amravati, Maharashtra. The training facility has received final clearance from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), marking an important step towards commencing its operations. A total of 34 training aircraft have already arrived at the facility, and training activities are expected to begin next month.
The academy’s first batch is expected to include around 180 students, who will undergo an 18-month Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) training programme. The initiative is aimed at providing aspiring pilots with structured flight training and helping them pursue careers in commercial aviation. The academy’s launch is expected to strengthen pilot training infrastructure in the region.
