39 Amarnath Pilgrims Injured in Ganderbal Bus Crash

A major accident occurred in Jammu and Kashmir's Ganderbal district when a speeding bus carrying Amarnath Yatra pilgrims skidded off the road near Hariganwan in the Kangan area. The driver reportedly lost control while negotiating a sharp curve, causing the bus to crash into a nearby house. The damaged building stopped the vehicle from plunging into the Sindh River, preventing what could have been a far more serious tragedy. Fortunately, no one was inside the house at the time of the incident.

At least 39 pilgrims sustained injuries and were rescued by local residents along with security personnel before being shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment. Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha reviewed the situation and instructed officials to provide the injured with the best possible medical care. Authorities have registered the case and launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident.
