Chinese smartphone brand OnePlus is reportedly set to merge with Realme, both of which operate under the umbrella of BBK Electronics. Realme already functions as a sub-brand of Oppo, and the move is said to bring all these brands under a unified management structure. The decision is reportedly aimed at improving efficiency and reducing operational costs across global markets.
According to tech tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo, both China and global OnePlus operations may be integrated into Realme’s framework. The merged teams are expected to be led by Pete Lau, with unified marketing, after-sales services, and collaborative product development. Despite the merger, both brands will continue to launch smartphones independently under their respective names, ensuring uninterrupted services for users.
