Tension Over Anti-E20 Protest

Political analyst Taseen Poonawalla was reportedly placed under house arrest by Delhi Police after planning a protest against the E20 petrol policy. Poonawalla alleged that police detained him at his residence without issuing any prior notice. Earlier, he had planned to conduct a vehicle rally, but police denied permission.

Following this, Poonawalla decided to walk to Gandhi Smriti and hold a silent protest. However, before he could proceed with the demonstration, he was placed under house arrest, according to his claims. He expressed concerns over the police action.
