The Punjab government has announced a major initiative to support students preparing for the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) and Punjab Civil Services (PCS) examinations. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann revealed that 1,000 economically disadvantaged students will receive free online coaching to help them prepare for competitive examinations without financial constraints.
Under the initiative, 750 students from government colleges and 250 from private colleges will be selected. The programme will offer live online classes, study materials, test series and interview guidance. The government aims to ensure that no student has to give up their dream of joining the civil services due to financial difficulties or geographical barriers.
