

Mahindra Group Chairman Anand Mahindra said India’s role in the global manufacturing sector is growing significantly. Addressing shareholders virtually at Mahindra & Mahindra’s 80th Annual General Meeting, he stated that the global economy is moving towards selective partnerships and changing supply chains. Countries are looking for stability, manufacturing capabilities, talent and trust, and India is emerging as a reliable partner that can meet these requirements. He also highlighted that Mahindra’s patents increased from 56 to over 1,300 in the last decade and announced a ₹15,000 crore investment in Nagpur.
Mahindra & Mahindra reported strong financial performance in the June quarter, with its net profit rising to ₹5,455 crore, registering a 34% growth compared to ₹4,083 crore during the same period last year. Revenue increased from ₹45,529 crore to ₹58,188 crore. The company said its automotive and farm equipment businesses performed strongly. Total vehicle sales grew 23% to 3.04 lakh units, while SUV sales crossed 1.75 lakh units. The company also recorded growth in financial services, Tech Mahindra and Mahindra Logistics businesses.
