A major change in the banking sector is set to make the process of obtaining debit cards faster and more convenient. Under the proposed facility, customers will be able to receive debit cards directly from ATMs, reducing their dependence on bank branches and conventional card-delivery processes. The Department of Financial Services (DFS) Secretary is scheduled to launch the facility this evening.
Preparations are underway to modify the existing method of issuing debit cards and enable quicker card delivery through ATMs. The new system is expected to significantly reduce the waiting period for customers and streamline the card issuance process. The initiative could make banking services more accessible and convenient, particularly for customers who currently have to visit branches or wait for cards to be delivered.
