

Amazon has stated that it seized more than 15 million counterfeit products worldwide over the past year. It also reported that it identified and blocked billions of suspicious fake reviews. These details were included in the company’s first “Trustworthy Shopping Experience Report.”
Amazon said it is leveraging advanced artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies to tackle challenges such as organized retail crime, cybercrime, and product safety risks. The company also revealed that it has taken legal action to shut down more than 100 websites involved in promoting fake reviews and scam activities.
Since launching its Counterfeit Crimes Unit in 2020, Amazon stated that it has taken enforcement actions, including legal proceedings and criminal cases, against more than 32,000 offenders across 14 countries.
