Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang has urged all employees to adopt artificial intelligence across every task they perform, assuring them that AI will create new opportunities rather than take away their jobs.
At Nvidia, AI usage is no longer optional. Huang told employees that artificial intelligence should be integrated into everything—from coding to product development—describing it as a tool that empowers people, not replaces them. His message was clear: do not fear AI—use it.
During an internal meeting, Huang responded strongly to reports that a few managers had suggested limiting the use of AI.
According to Business Insider, he said:
“My understanding is that some Nvidia managers are asking people to use less AI. Are you insane? I want every task that can be automated to be automated using artificial intelligence. I promise you, you will have work to do.”
Huang encouraged Nvidia engineers to use AI-powered coding tools like Cursor to speed up development and improve efficiency. If a tool doesn’t work as expected, he advised employees to persist and help make it better.
“Use it until it does. Jump in and improve it—we have the power to do that,” he said.
Huang’s remarks come at a time when major tech companies are pushing employees to integrate AI deeply into their workflows.
Google and Microsoft revealed that nearly 30% of new code is already AI-generated. Meta and Microsoft also plan to evaluate employees partly based on how effectively they use AI tools.
Amazon has taken a similar path. According to Reuters, it recently asked employees to stop using third-party code assistants and switch to its own AI tool, Kiro.
However, this rapid shift toward automation has created anxiety among workers who fear job loss. Recently, Amazon announced that it would cut around 14,000 corporate jobs as part of a restructuring effort focused on streamlining operations and expanding the use of AI. Some reports suggest the total may eventually reach 30,000 roles.
Despite industry concerns, Jensen Huang strongly believes that AI will transform jobs, not replace them.
Speaking at the Milken Institute Conference in May 2025, he stated:
“You’re not going to lose your job to an AI. You’re going to lose your job to someone who uses AI.”
At last week’s internal meeting, he reassured employees that Nvidia’s heavy investment in automation will generate more opportunities. Nvidia hired several thousand employees last quarter, growing from 29,600 at the end of fiscal 2024 to 36,000 at the end of fiscal 2025.Huang said,
“Frankly, I think we’re still about 10,000 short.”
He emphasized that hiring speed must match how quickly Nvidia can train and integrate new workers.
For Huang, AI is the engine behind Nvidia’s explosive growth and the foundation of its dominance in the chip industry. His message was simple and powerful:
those who embrace AI will grow, and those who ignore it will fall behind.
