Simple Energy Launches New Electric Scooter for Mass-Market Buyers

Simple Energy has introduced its new Wave electric scooter in the Indian market as part of its push toward the mass-market EV segment. The scooter is priced from ₹1.09 lakh and will be offered in four variants with different battery capacities. The company has announced that deliveries are expected to begin by the end of this month.

The 5 kWh battery variant is claimed to deliver a range of up to 243 km on a single charge. The 2.2 kWh, 2.7 kWh and 3.7 kWh variants offer claimed ranges of 110 km, 132 km and 171 km, respectively. The scooter can reportedly recharge up to 80% in around two hours and has a claimed top speed of 90 kmph.
