China Showcases Its Strength in the Space Sector Again

China has once again demonstrated its growing capabilities in the space sector by successfully conducting four rocket launches within just two days. The launches involved both government organisations and a private company. The missions were carried out from three different launch sites on September 15 and 16 for applications including satellite-based internet services and Earth observation. The series of launches highlighted China’s ability to deploy satellites into orbit within a short timeframe based on operational requirements.

The first launch took place on September 15 from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center. The Zhuque-2E rocket, developed by private company LandSpace, successfully placed 10 satellites into orbit. The mission was conducted as part of the Qianfan network, which is being developed to provide satellite-based broadband services. China has set a target of deploying a total of 10,000 broadband satellites as part of the network.
