The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has reportedly imposed a fine of ₹50 lakh on each Pakistan player following the team’s disappointing performance in the T20 World Cup 2026. The move has sparked widespread discussion among cricket fans, as the penalty amount appears significantly higher compared to the players’ match earnings.
As per estimates, a Pakistan player earns around ₹4.18 lakh per T20 match. Having played seven matches in the tournament, the players’ total income comes to approximately ₹29 lakh, which is notably lower than the ₹50 lakh fine imposed. The development has triggered strong reactions across social media platforms.
