Sheetal Devi Shines at World Archery Para Series Stage 3

India’s para archery star and world No.1 Sheetal Devi delivered a brilliant performance at the World Archery Para Series Stage 3, winning two medals. She secured gold in the women’s compound individual event and added a bronze in the mixed-team competition. In the closely contested individual final, Sheetal faced Kazakhstan’s Aizhan Sidan. The scores were tied at 144-144 after five rounds, forcing a shoot-off. Sidan scored nine points with her deciding arrow, while Sheetal hit a perfect 10 to clinch the gold. Later, partnering with Toman Kumar, Sheetal defeated Iraq’s Sara and Abbas combination 157-145 to win the mixed-team bronze.

India also enjoyed success in other events on the final day. Paralympic champion Harvinder Singh, partnering with Bhavana, won the recurve mixed-team title by defeating China’s Liang Qirong and Xia Li 6-0. Bhavana added another bronze after beating India’s Rajashree Rathod 6-0 in the women’s recurve individual playoff. Sarita won bronze in the women’s compound individual third-place contest with a narrow 141-140 victory over China’s Wang Huting. Toman Kumar also secured bronze in the men’s compound individual playoff, defeating Iraq’s Abbas Khadim 143-138. India finished the final day with two gold and four bronze medals.
