Ireland registered a stunning 34-run victory over India in the first T20I at Belfast after producing an all-round performance. Opting to bowl first after winning the toss, India allowed Ireland to post a competitive 182/9 in 20 overs. Captain Lorcan Tucker laid the foundation with a brilliant half-century off 36 balls, while Gareth Delany's explosive 49 in the death overs boosted the hosts to a challenging total. For India, Harshit Rana was the standout bowler with figures of 3/24, while Arshdeep Singh and Axar Patel claimed two wickets each.

In reply, India got off to a flying start through Abhishek Sharma, who smashed a 20-ball half-century. However, the innings fell apart after his dismissal as Sanju Samson (5), Ishan Kishan (1), and Tilak Varma (19) departed cheaply. Shivam Dube (25), Axar Patel (15), and Washington Sundar failed to steady the chase, and India were eventually bowled out for 148 in 18.5 overs. Matthew Humphreys and Matthew Hollarard starred with three wickets each, while Jaimundra picked up two wickets to seal Ireland's memorable victory.
