India all-rounder Hardik Pandya’s IPL future has become a topic of speculation, with reports suggesting that he could move away from Mumbai Indians. Kolkata Knight Riders, Chennai Super Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad have reportedly been linked with interest in the star all-rounder. More recently, speculation emerged that Pandya could return to his former franchise Gujarat Titans. According to reports, GT was open to bringing him back and had discussions involving captain Shubman Gill, but the talks reportedly stalled after Pandya sought a captaincy assurance.
Gujarat Titans sources were quoted as saying that the franchise welcomed the possibility of Pandya’s return and was prepared to consider a trade. However, the management was reportedly unwilling to accept a condition that Pandya should be made captain. At the same time, people close to Pandya have denied that he has held talks with any other IPL franchise so far. His representative said Pandya would communicate his decision directly to Mumbai Indians and urged fans to avoid speculation until then.
