

India produced a batting masterclass against Afghanistan as captain Shubman Gill and wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan slammed brilliant centuries in the second ODI. Gill reached his century with a boundary, scoring 103 runs off just 77 balls. The Indian skipper played a sensational knock, striking 12 fours and 2 sixes. The century was Gill's first as India's captain and the 21st international hundred of his career.
At the other end, Ishan Kishan tore apart the Afghan bowling attack with an equally destructive innings. He completed his century with a boundary and scored 103 runs from just 71 deliveries, including 14 fours and 4 sixes. In a rare feat, both Indian batters reached their centuries in the same over, putting India in complete control of the contest. The knock also marked the second international century of Ishan Kishan's career.
