Security concerns have resurfaced at the FIFA World Cup following another unexpected incident near a team training camp. After a snake was recently spotted at Germany’s camp, an unauthorized drone was detected flying near South Korea’s training base in Guadalajara, Mexico. The incident has sparked fresh discussions about player safety and whether teams are being distracted from their preparations by such security breaches.
According to reports, security personnel quickly identified the drone operating near the South Korean camp and determined that it had not received official authorization. The drone was immediately brought down by Mexican security authorities. Questions have since emerged over whether the drone was being used to gather information about South Korea’s preparations or had inadvertently entered the restricted zone. South Korea is set to face Mexico in a crucial World Cup fixture, adding further significance to the incident.
