Bumrah Injured, Ruled Out of Sri Lanka Series

Team India has suffered a major setback as star pacer Jasprit Bumrah will miss the upcoming Test series against Sri Lanka. Bumrah has been ruled out of the tour as his left knee discomfort has not fully recovered. Although he was included in the squad, selectors had made it clear that he would travel only after achieving complete fitness. His absence ahead of the August 4 departure is a big blow for India’s plans.

Bumrah’s knee issue was reportedly detected during preliminary assessments at the BCCI Centre of Excellence.
