The Board of Control for Cricket in India (Board of Control for Cricket in India) is reportedly set to take a key decision aimed at promoting young talent in Indian cricket. With a series against the West Indies and the Asian Games scheduled later this year, the board is considering fielding two separate T20 teams simultaneously. Around 30 to 35 players are likely to be included across both squads.
The move is expected to provide greater opportunities for emerging players. Talents such as Vaibhav, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Priyansh, Raghuvanshi, Rajat Patidar, Badoni, Shashank Singh, Jitesh Sharma, Anukul Roy, Ashok Sharma and Tyagi may be given chances, according to reports. Cricketing sources also suggest that Shreyas Iyer could be appointed as captain for these two squads.
