Another Setback for Team India.. Key Player Suffers Injury

Team India has suffered another setback ahead of the upcoming two-match Test series against Sri Lanka, with young batter Sai Sudharsan ruled out due to injury. Sudharsan is currently undergoing rehabilitation at the BCCI Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru, but the medical team has reportedly determined that he has not regained enough fitness to play a match. As a result, he did not travel with the Indian squad to Sri Lanka on August 4.

The first Test is scheduled to begin in Galle on August 15. Devdutt Padikkal could be considered as Sudharsan’s replacement after he impressed with a century in the three-day practice match against Sri Lanka XI in Colombo. BCCI selectors are expected to officially announce Sudharsan’s replacement soon.
