Vijay Sai Reddy Says New Party Needed to Fight for Public Issues

Former MP Vijayasai Reddy said a new political party is needed in Andhra Pradesh to effectively fight for public issues. He alleged that state politics has revolved around the TDP and YSRCP for the past 15 years, leaving people caught between the two parties. He criticised both parties for failing to adequately address public concerns and questioned the government over rising essential commodity prices, increasing expenditure and the economic burden on people.

Vijayasai Reddy also raised concerns over the state’s debt and demanded that the government provide a clear account of its total borrowings. He called for greater private investment in Andhra Pradesh and said government funds should not be wasted. He also spoke about the need to reduce the burden of petrol and diesel prices, improve water management and increase water storage capacity to meet the state’s agricultural and drinking water requirements.

He said his proposed party would give greater importance to the younger generation and promised wider opportunities for Gen-Z youth in politics. He also promised free electricity for farmers and suggested greater use of solar power to strengthen the state’s power supply. Vijayasai Reddy criticised the governments over employment and education issues, alleged irregularities in APPSC and DSC related matters and called for stronger action against illegal loan apps and excessive pressure on students.

Vijayasai Reddy announced that he would establish the new party after Vijayadashami. He said he would conduct four more press meets, with the next ones planned in Anantapur, Visakhapatnam and Tirupati, before holding a conclave to announce the party’s name, flag and agenda. He clarified that the proposed party would be a regional party limited to Andhra Pradesh and said it would be formed with the participation of young people.
