The Andhra Pradesh DSC recruitment process has come under scrutiny over allegations of fake certificates. In the erstwhile East Godavari district, two posts were reportedly filled under the BC-E minority category. One of the appointments concerns Sakku Lakshmi Sunitha of Peddapuram, who allegedly obtained a BC-E certificate despite belonging to the BC-B category. The certificate was reportedly issued by the Peddapuram MRO on August 18, 2025, and she was appointed as a Telugu teacher at the Kattreinikona mandal Kandukuppa school. Pithapuram resident Sheikh Ameeruddin has filed a complaint, alleging irregularities and questioning why officials have not yet verified the certificate.
Meanwhile, YSR Congress MP YS Avinash Reddy alleged that large-scale irregularities took place in the DSC recruitment process. He questioned why the government was hesitant to order a CBI inquiry if the recruitment was conducted properly and also raised questions over appointments allegedly made without candidates appearing for the TET. Avinash Reddy further alleged that a person associated with a softball association received a teaching job for his wife and claimed that the irregularities occurred under the leadership of Minister Nara Lokesh. He also alleged that social media accounts of those questioning the process were being blocked.
