US President Donald Trump has indicated that his administration will now focus more closely on the ongoing Ukraine conflict, stating that the Iran crisis is effectively behind them. Speaking at the G7 Summit in Evian-les-Bains, France, Trump said he would do everything possible to address the Ukraine situation and support efforts aimed at restoring stability. His remarks come at a time when global attention is gradually shifting back to Eastern Europe following recent developments in the Middle East.
During discussions at the summit, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky joined world leaders in reviewing the latest developments in the Russia-Ukraine war. Several G7 leaders reportedly emphasized the need for continued support to Ukraine and stronger measures against Russia. Trump also hinted that additional sanctions on Russian oil could be considered in the near future, citing expectations of increased oil shipments through the Strait of Hormuz. The discussions highlighted the international community’s continued focus on regional security, energy stability, and diplomatic efforts to address ongoing geopolitical challenges.
