Student Uniforms Should Be Available in More Colours - CM Revanth Reddy

Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has directed officials to ensure that uniforms provided to students are designed in more attractive colours and feature greater variety. The Chief Minister reviewed the distribution of uniforms and other essential materials to students. Officials informed him that the distribution of one pair of uniforms to students of government schools, government hostels and residential schools has been completed this year, while the second pair will be supplied by the end of the month. Students of Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas (KGBVs) and Model Schools have already received two pairs of uniforms.

Officials also said that notebooks have been distributed to all students. Distribution of plates, glasses, bowls, spoons, cups, carpets, bedsheets and towels has also been completed for students in government hostels, residential schools, KGBVs and Model Schools. The Chief Minister directed officials to prepare an action plan well in advance so that uniforms and other materials are distributed to students on the very first day of schools reopening next year. As enrolment could increase by around 10 per cent over the current student strength, he asked officials to plan accordingly. Officials said parents had expressed satisfaction with the quality of the uniforms and other materials supplied this year. Government Adviser P. Sudarshan Reddy, MP Vem Narender Reddy and senior officials attended the review meeting.
