Revanth Reddy Hits Out at Opposition Conduct

A Congress Legislature Party meeting was held at the Assembly Committee Hall under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. TPCC president Mahesh Kumar Goud, Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, ministers, MLAs and MLCs attended the meeting. Revanth Reddy said the Assembly session was being conducted to explain to the people the decisions taken and the development and welfare programmes implemented during the government’s thousand days in office. He alleged that the opposition had conspired to disrupt the proceedings and had behaved inappropriately towards police officials and public representatives. He also alleged that the Speaker was subjected to highly objectionable remarks.

Revanth Reddy congratulated party members for strongly countering the opposition’s alleged conspiracy and explaining the government’s position to the public. He urged MLAs to actively participate in Assembly debates, maintain full attendance and raise constituency-related issues. Describing Telangana’s caste census as a model for the country, he called for pressure on the Centre to conduct a caste census as part of the national census. Alleging that there was a conspiracy to delete votes in the name of SIR, he asked every MLA seeking re-election to take the protection of voting rights seriously. The Chief Minister also thanked party members for their support during the government’s thousand day tenure.
