Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has strongly reacted to the alleged police action against students at Jantar Mantar in Delhi. In a letter addressed to Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Rahul demanded accountability over what he described as a “brutal attack” on students and questioned the use of pellet guns during the protest.
According to Rahul’s letter, students were peacefully protesting on July 20 demanding a fair and accountable education system. He alleged that security personnel used excessive force, including tear gas and pellet guns, leaving several students injured. Rahul raised questions over who authorized the use of such weapons and sought action against those responsible. The Centre has not issued an official response to the letter so far, while government sources have maintained that necessary measures were taken to maintain law and order.
