Raghav Chadha, a Rajya Sabha MP, announced that he will continue to raise public issues “with more energy and enthusiasm” after quitting the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and joining the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). In a video message shared on his social media platforms, Chadha addressed criticism over his decision and assured citizens that his commitment to their concerns remains unchanged.
He revealed that he spent 15 years building AAP but claimed the party had transformed into a “toxic work environment,” alleging he was restricted from speaking and working effectively in Parliament. Calling himself “the right man in the wrong party,” Chadha said his exit stemmed from disappointment and disenchantment, not fear. He further noted that seven Rajya Sabha MPs left together, arguing that such a collective decision reflects deeper issues within the party.
