The working president of K. T. Rama Rao alleged that the Congress government has betrayed youth by failing to fulfill its promise of providing 2 lakh jobs within the first year of coming to power. He said rising frustration among unemployed youth has led to extreme distress, citing an incident where a young man from Khammam attempted suicide after writing a letter blaming the lack of job opportunities. Displaying the letter, KTR termed it a “charge sheet” against the government and criticized the absence of a proper job calendar.
Addressing a press conference, he accused Rahul Gandhi and Chief Minister Revanth Reddy of misleading youth with promises like the Youth Declaration and job guarantees. He questioned why Rahul Gandhi remains silent on student issues in Telangana while speaking about democracy elsewhere. KTR urged unemployed youth not to lose hope and promised that his party would ensure job recruitment if voted back to power, demanding a discussion on these promises in the Assembly.
