BRS working president K. T. Rama Rao (KTR) has once again raised concerns over the alleged collection of RR Tax in Hyderabad's real estate sector. He claimed that builders and developers in the city could confirm the alleged practice and alleged that Rs 200 was being collected per square foot in the name of RR Tax. Taking to X, KTR highlighted the issue and questioned the authorities over the alleged collections.
KTR also criticised Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, alleging that they frequently visit Hyderabad and accuse Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and Rahul Gandhi of collecting crores of rupees through RR Tax but fail to take any action. Referring to Revanth Reddy as Modi's "ABVP chota bhai", KTR alleged that the BJP's criticism was limited to verbal statements and accused the BJP and Congress of having an understanding behind the scenes. He questioned whether this was the stand of Modi and Amit Shah on the RR Tax issue.
