K. Kavitha has launched sharp criticism against K. T. Rama Rao, calling him a “weekend MLA” and alleging that he lacks concern for public issues. During her visit to Sircilla on Thursday night, she participated in various programs, including paying tributes to statues of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, Mahatma Jyotirao Phule, and Savitribai Phule, followed by the unveiling of a party flag at Ambedkar Chowrasta.
Kavitha questioned KTR’s silence over key local issues, including the merger of Sircilla SESS into the government and the lack of response on farmers’ concerns regarding the proposed discom. She also raised issues related to irrigation from the Kaleshwaram project, stating that only 480 acres in Sircilla and 77,000 acres in Vemulawada are receiving water. She further alleged neglect of welfare promises and criticized earlier incidents involving Dalits and BC communities. Kavitha also promised that if her group comes to power, they would focus on youth self-employment and provide loans ranging from ₹2 crore to ₹20 crore.
