The Andhra Pradesh government has decided to conduct the last rites of former Deputy Chief Minister Alla Nani with state honours in Eluru tomorrow. His mortal remains have been brought to Eluru following his death in Visakhapatnam. Several political leaders have already paid their respects and conveyed condolences to his family.
Alla Nani, whose full name was Alla Kali Krishna Srinivas, served as Deputy Chief Minister and Health and Medical Education Minister in the Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy government. He was elected as an MLA from Eluru three times and later joined the Telugu Desam Party in 2025. Ministers, MLAs and leaders from different political groups are expected to attend his final rites.
