DMK Criticises Vijay’s UK Visit Over Ajith Meet.. TVK Hits Back

The DMK has criticised Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay’s UK visit, alleging that he travelled to London primarily to watch his friend and actor Ajith Kumar compete in a car race. The TVK dismissed the criticism, stating that there was nothing wrong with Vijay meeting a friend during an official overseas visit. At Silverstone, Vijay ceremonially waved the traditional green flag to start the Michelin Le Mans Cup race.

The TVK said Vijay’s UK visit is focused on attracting investments to Tamil Nadu and exploring opportunities related to motorsport infrastructure, sports tourism and the proposed Motor Sports City near Chennai. Meanwhile, Vijay and Ajith shared a warm moment at Silverstone, with the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister seen running towards Ajith and embracing him.
