Congress Plans Public Meetings in Sircilla and Siddipet

The Telangana Congress is making preparations for public meetings in Sircilla and Siddipet as political activity intensifies in the two constituencies represented by BRS leaders K. T. Rama Rao and T. Harish Rao. Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy announced earlier this month that he would visit Sircilla by the end of September and Siddipet in October. He made the remarks while addressing a public meeting in Nakrekal.

According to reports, Congress is working on arrangements for a public meeting in Sircilla on September 30, while another meeting is being planned in Siddipet during the first week of October. The Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee leadership has reportedly directed district Congress committees to make the necessary arrangements. The proposed programmes come amid continuing political exchanges between the Congress government and BRS leaders over issues in Siddipet and Sircilla. Recent Congress activity in Siddipet has included visits by party MPs and MLCs over allegations concerning land matters, while Harish Rao has rejected the allegations and criticised the Congress government.
