Following its victory in West Bengal, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has significantly expanded its political footprint across India. The party now has Chief Ministers in 17 states, along with leadership presence in five additional NDA-ruled states, marking a notable consolidation of power.

The BJP’s growth trajectory has been remarkable over the years. From having 773 MLAs in 2013, the party has surged to 1,798 MLAs in 2026, reflecting its expanding voter base and electoral strength. This rise underscores the party’s increasing influence in national and state-level politics.
