Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar criticised Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, alleging that their recent protests were politically motivated and intended to divert public attention from pressing issues. He claimed that the Congress government in Telangana had failed to implement its six election guarantees and was using the NEET controversy to shift the public narrative. Bandi Sanjay also stated that the Central Government is prepared to discuss the NEET issue in Parliament.
The BJP leader further remarked that Rahul Gandhi remaining the Leader of the Opposition benefits the BJP, describing him as the party's "brand ambassador" in a sarcastic remark. He also defended the police action against protesters near the Prime Minister's residence, stating that it was taken to maintain law and order. Additionally, he dismissed claims that Rahul Gandhi would become the next Prime Minister and urged the Telangana government to focus on addressing irrigation, fertiliser shortages, and farmers' concerns instead of organising protests.
