Suriya and Mamitha Baiju’s Vishwanath and Sons, directed by Venky Atluri, is now streaming on OTT. The film, which hit theatres on August 14, went on to become a blockbuster and reportedly collected more than Rs. 260 crore worldwide. Netflix has brought the film to its platform from today, September 11, making it available for audiences to watch from home.
The story follows Sanjay Vishwanath, played by Suriya, a businessman and Olympic gold medal-winning shooter who remains unmarried at the age of 40. He travels to the US through surrogacy to have a son and later brings the boy back to India. When the child develops a rare illness and requires a bone marrow transplant, Sanjay searches for his surrogate mother, Maddy, played by Mamitha Baiju, and brings her to India. What happens after Maddy enters their lives, and whether Sanjay changes his views on love and marriage, forms the rest of the story.
