‘Toxic’ on OTT

Kannada Rocking Star Yash’s much-awaited gangster action drama ‘Toxic’, directed by National Award winner Geetu Mohandas, is gearing up for its OTT premiere. Kiara Advani plays the female lead, while Rukmini Vasanth, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi and Tara Sutaria appear in key roles. Produced on a lavish budget by Yash under his Monster Mind Creations banner in association with KVN Productions, the film was released in theatres on August 26. However, it received a mixed response and failed to meet the expectations surrounding its theatrical release.

The film is now set to make its digital debut. ZEE5 has acquired the OTT rights to ‘Toxic’. According to the latest reports, the Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada versions are expected to stream on ZEE5 from September 25, while the Hindi version is reportedly scheduled to premiere on October 23. After its theatrical run received a mixed response, all eyes are now on how the high-budget gangster action drama performs on the OTT platform.
