At the World Economic Forum (WEF) annual meeting in Davos, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy held discussions with WEF Managing Director Jeremy Jurgens and C4IR Network Coordination Head Manju George at the Telangana Pavilion. The meeting focused on the long-term goals of the Telangana Rising 2047 Vision and proposals to conduct a World Economic Forum follow-up summit in Hyderabad every July to review progress made after the Davos deliberations.
The Chief Minister proposed hosting the WEF Follow-Up Forum in Hyderabad to showcase Telangana’s industrial ecosystem, investment-friendly policies, incentives, and emerging opportunities to the global community. The WEF delegation responded positively, stating that although proposals have been received from several countries, a decision would be taken in the near future. Jeremy Jurgens noted that while China hosts the annual “Summer Davos” and Saudi Arabia has shown interest, Telangana’s vision and roadmap toward a USD 3 trillion economy stand out. He appreciated the state’s skilled human resources, advanced technology centers, C4IR Telangana progress, and initiatives such as the Young India Skills University and Sports University, assuring WEF’s partnership in Telangana’s growth journey.
