

Vigilance officials have intensified surveillance in Eluru district following reports of illegal animal fat oil manufacturing. Acting on credible information, vigilance teams conducted raids on two locations in Eluru on Tuesday. During the inspections, officials seized 330 litres of illegally stored animal fat oil. The units were found operating without proper permissions and in violation of safety and hygiene norms.
Following the vigilance action, several unauthorized slaughterhouses in the district have reportedly shut down fearing further raids. Officials stated that such illegal activities pose a serious threat to public health and warned that strict legal action would be taken against those involved in the manufacture, storage, and distribution of animal fat oil. Vigilance authorities confirmed that monitoring will continue to curb such unlawful practices.
