Train Accident in Thailand

A tragic accident occurred in Thailand when a crane fell onto a moving train, causing several carriages to derail. The incident happened on Wednesday morning in Sikhio district, about 230 km from Bangkok, where construction work is ongoing for a high-speed rail project.

The crane collapsed onto the tracks just as a passenger train was passing, leading to derailment and fires in some carriages. Rescue teams and police arrived at the scene to provide assistance.

So far, 22 people have died and over 30 others were injured. Around 150 passengers were on board at the time. Further details are awaited as authorities continue the investigation.
