Telangana has a great spirit. This land, where Komaram Bheem fought with the slogan of “Jal, Jungle, Zameen,” has a history of many laying down their lives in armed peasant struggles for the land, for sustenance and for liberation. Telangana continues to aspire for freedom, social justice and equal opportunities. To realize these aspirations of the people, the Telangana Rising 2047 Vision Document has been introduced by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. The vision document has set a target of a $1 trillion economy by 2034 and $3 trillion by 2047. It was not created by sitting behind closed doors it reflects the opinions and inputs of four crore people.
Just as Jawaharlal Nehru emphasized education and irrigation in his time, now we are moving forward with a focus on education, irrigation and communication. We are committed to eradicating poverty, providing quality education and creating employment opportunities for the youth. Our aim is to ensure welfare benefits reach the poor. For some, poverty may seem like an abstract concept, but I know what poverty really means. Having studied in government schools in rural areas, I share a strong bond with the poor, Dalits and Adivasis. Knowing their hardships, my resolve is to ensure welfare reaches every underprivileged person.
Even during student life, to eliminate caste-based discrimination, we are establishing Young India Integrated Schools, providing education to SC, ST, BC, OC and minority students in one place. We do not view this as an expense; rather, it is an investment in Telangana’s future. Unemployment is rising due to the lack of quality education and skills. Hence, we have set up a Skills University to enhance youth capabilities and a Sports University to train athletes aiming for the Olympics. For the upliftment of backward classes and the poor, this Telangana Rising 2047 Vision Document has been formulated, said Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.
