

Rashmi Group, a globally known company in ductile iron (DI) pipe manufacturing, has come forward to set up a steel production unit in Telangana. During the World Economic Forum (WEF)–2026 meeting in Davos, the ‘Telangana Rising’ delegation led by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Rashmi Group for an investment of Rs 12,500 crore. This project is expected to create nearly 12,000 direct and indirect jobs in the state.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy appreciated IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu for playing a key role in bringing this major investment to Telangana. The minister said that Telangana is growing as a strong industrial state with a focus on multiple sectors, especially manufacturing. He assured full support from the government for setting up the steel plant, including required approvals, infrastructure and coal supply support.
Rashmi Group promoter Sajjan Kumar Patwari and Director Sanjib Kumar Patwari met the Telangana Rising team during the event. Sanjib Kumar stated that the steel plant will follow a labour-intensive production model and will generate large employment opportunities. Discussions were also held on working together in areas such as green manufacturing and circular economy. Rashmi Group operates across 40 Asian countries and also has a strong presence in Europe, Africa, North America and South America.
