

The Telangana Rising delegation, led by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, achieved major investment breakthroughs on the second day of the World Economic Forum (WEF) summit in Davos on Wednesday. Several global corporations signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with the state government, committing investments worth nearly ₹23,000 crore across manufacturing, clean energy, aviation, technology, and consumer sectors.
Global ductile iron pipe manufacturer Rashmi Group announced plans to establish a steel production unit in Telangana with an investment of ₹12,500 crore. The project is expected to generate employment for nearly 12,000 people directly and indirectly. Additionally, Slovakia-based Nuclear Products expressed readiness to develop a Small Modular Reactor (SMR)-based power project with an investment of ₹6,000 crore, strengthening Telangana’s clean and green energy ambitions.
Beauty and cosmetics giant L’Oréal confirmed the launch of its world’s first Beauty-Tech Global Capability Centre in Hyderabad with an investment of ₹3,500 crore, creating over 2,000 high-skilled jobs. US-based aviation firm SARGOD also signed an MoU to establish a Maintenance and Repair Unit with phased investments of ₹1,000 crore over the next 3–5 years. The summit, which continues till January 23, is expected to yield further investment commitments for the state.
