Telangana Announces Paid Leave for Voters During Assembly Elections

Telangana Announces Paid Leave for Voters During Assembly Elections

The Government of Telangana has announced special holidays during the assembly elections in five states. These holidays are meant to help voters travel to their respective states and cast their votes without any difficulty. The government has made it clear that this leave will be provided on polling days in April.

The paid leave will apply to employees working in factories, shops and other establishments. This decision ensures that voters do not lose their salary while exercising their right to vote. It also encourages more people to participate in the election process.

As per the schedule, holidays are declared on April 9 for Assam, Kerala and Puducherry. Tamil Nadu will have a holiday on April 23, while West Bengal will observe holidays on April 23 and April 29. This move is expected to support voter participation and strengthen the democratic process.
