Popular folk singer Mangli has strongly responded to reports claiming that a microfinance business is being run in her name. Issuing an official statement on social media, she clarified that she has no connection with any such financial activities. Recently, reports surfaced that some individuals were allegedly collecting money from the public using her name under the guise of microfinance schemes. Reacting to this, Mangli stated that such claims are completely false and misleading, and she has no association with those individuals or their businesses.
In her statement, Mangli explained that she and her family are often approached for professional events, and their association is limited only to such engagements. She emphasized that they hold no responsibility for any personal or financial dealings of those contacts. Expressing concern over the misuse of her name, she said it is unfair and damaging to her reputation. She further clarified that neither she nor her family has any involvement in viral currency-related videos or financial transactions circulating on social media. Urging the public to remain cautious, she advised people not to trust anyone collecting money in her name and appealed to the police to take action against such fraudulent activities.
