The rush of devotees visiting Tirumala Venkateswara Temple has remained relatively low on weekdays, despite expectations of heavy footfall during the summer holidays. Anticipating a large influx of pilgrims, TTD officials had earlier taken several precautionary measures, including cancellation of VIP break darshans and construction of additional queue lines on the ring road.
However, over the past few days, queue lines have reportedly remained less crowded. On Monday morning, devotees entering the Sarva Darshan queue received direct darshan without much waiting time. By evening, around 25 compartments were occupied. Following the cancellation of recommendation-based darshans, crowding at the Sri Padmavathi Enquiry Centre and MBC accommodation counters has also reduced significantly. As several rooms remained vacant, officials have started allotting accommodation to devotees holding darshan tickets. Pilgrims are now requesting TTD to provide additional conveniences on weekdays as well.
