In a rare and heart-touching incident from Kanker district, a police officer showed humanity beyond duty. Sub-Inspector Rameshwar Chaturvedi from Partapur Police Station went deep into the forest to bring back three Maoists who were ready to surrender. While such situations usually involve tension and conflict, this moment stood out for its compassion.
The officer learned that the Maoists had been walking for a long distance and were extremely hungry. Instead of questioning them immediately, he arranged food for them right there in the forest. He even sat on the ground and shared a meal with them, treating them with respect and kindness. This simple act of humanity has gone viral on social media, winning praise from many.
The three Maoists - Radhika Kunjam, Sandeep Kadiyam and Rainu Padma - later surrendered along with their weapons. They said they trusted the government’s rehabilitation programs and wanted to return to normal life. Officials believe this positive gesture may inspire more Maoists in the forests to surrender and choose a peaceful path.
