Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has directed that the land allotted to Sharada Peetham in Kokapet should continue to remain with the Peetham. Representatives of the Peetham brought to the Chief Minister’s attention the ongoing construction activities at the site, following the allocation of the land to the Water Board.
In response, the Chief Minister held a review meeting with senior officials at the State Secretariat on the matter this evening. He sought details regarding the current status of various constructions being undertaken under the aegis of the Peetham on the Kokapet land. The Chief Minister expressed displeasure over the fact that the status of the ongoing constructions was not disclosed at the time of allocating the land to the Water Board.
He subsequently ordered the cancellation of the allotment made to the Water Board and directed that the land be retained with the Peetham. The Chief Minister also advised the Peetham representatives to meet Minister Sridhar Babu and brief him on the construction works and related issues.
